In 2007, my husband and I decided to buy our first home. We ended up buying a “fixer-upper” in an “up-and-coming” area of Toronto. We got a great deal but our Realtor (who was also acting on behalf of the seller), didn’t really have our best interests at heart -- what did we know? We were first-timers.
We ended up saddled with former income property with tenants that wouldn’t leave and a money pit of needed renovations. But within both of us a flame began to burn -- one of desire to desire to make things easier for first-time, or really anytime, home buyers or sellers. We thought, let’s get educated so the issues we encountered don’t happen to someone else.
We ended up getting our Real Estate licenses and started providing a high-quality, customer-centric ethos to our work as Realtors in Toronto. Our laser focus on quality set us apart from our competitors who were often more interested in transactions than client service.
In 2016 we moved to the beautiful Durham Region to raise our two little boys. We love the area and the real estate market here is terrific. We love all of our former clients and enjoy helping their friends and family too. Many of our Toronto friends and clients are making the move Eastward as well, where you can get so much more value for your dollar.
