Consumers have 3 viable options:
Option #1 - Sell it through the traditional "higher commission companies" (approx. 5%)who will place your property with a local real estate board that operates an MLS® system and provide full service real estate. For a $350,000 house commission could be $17,500.

For a $350,000 house the commission will be $7,000. On top of this for sale by owner will charge an upfront fee around $500 bringing the commission to a total of $7,500.
